Hypnosis therapy
Hypnosis therapy (or hypnotherapy) is the way for hypnotists to help you overcome phobias, fears and anxiety related physical problems caused by an unhealthy attitude or minor mental inhibitions and blockages. Hypnosis analysis (or hypnoanalysis) is used to treat similar disorders or problems that have a deeper origin of stress often related to childhood or long past incidences. The various problems that can be treated by hypnosis therapy fall into 4 main categories; Habits/Addictions, Anxiety control, personal development and sleep disorders.
People with habits and addictions such as smoking, alcohol or drug abuse, gambling or shopping addiction, nail biting and hair pulling can be helped in two ways by hypnosis therapy. The first is relaxation, the removal of stress and anxiety. Teaching the person to relax and not just reach for a cigarette, glass of wine or head for the shops when a stressful point is reached. The second way is by suggesting to that person that they don’t really want that cigarette or beer. This will subconsciously change the person’s thinking habits and should create a new connection in their thought processes leading to their own rejection of the offending habit or addiction.
Anxiety control is something that the majority of us could really do with. How many times have you let someone or something push you over the edge and make you lose control? We all know that we should take a deep breath, count to ten and relax but it’s a bit difficult doing that in the middle of an argument with someone! Hypnosis therapy can teach you to interrupt your normal thought patterns and redirect them so you don’t even arrive at that argument. This can help with panic attacks, the majority of phobias, anger management, allergies, pain management (childbirth, cancer, migraines…), fear of going to the dentist, hyperactivity in children, memory loss, some infertility and gastro-intestinal disorders, work related stress, chronic fatigue and neurosis.
Personal development is a large area covering many aspects of one’s life where hypnosis therapy can make incredible differences to the way we see ourselves but also to the way that other people see us. Hypnosis can help us to rethink ourselves and create a new self-image. It can give us self confidence and help us improve our performance and attitude in the following areas; sports and physical exercise, driving tests and stress, creativity enhancement (stage fright or writers block), attitude to work, examinations, stuttering and public speaking.
This last section may be considered small and relatively insignificant by some people but a regular, uninterrupted night’s sleep is vitally important for our well being. Luckily hypnosis therapy can help those who suffer from snoring, nightmares, insomnia, teeth grinding and sleep walking and talking. That’s good news for many husbands and wives too who suffer from their spouses disorders!
I’m sure that reading through this article you’ve found at least one or two things that you suffer from, even if it’s more of a minor irritation than a real problem. Why don’t you do some more research and see if hypnosis therapy can help you.
